FACh F-16BM landing problem

Post by Alfakilo 03 »

For those who are interested. A former RNlAF F-16BM that is now in service with Grupo 8 of the FACh encountered a "slight" problem during landing at its home base of Cerro Moreno near the city of Antofagasta in the north of Chile.

Don't be so sure.... On the first pic, it appears the nosegear door is down.
Answers will be questioned.....

The crew declared an emergency after a landing gear malfunction and landed with a partly deployed landing gear. The damage seems to be substantial, but the fighter was towed away by a vehicle later on its own (three) wheels.

Aircraft involved was F-16BM 735 (ex RNLAF J-655, c/n 6E-20)
