I just returned from a 4Aviation trip to a chilly, windy Kazakhstan with loads of pics from the second Kazakhstan Defence Expo (KADEX). KADEX was held at Astana airport on May 3-6, 2012 (public days during the weekend). The event also marked the 20th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Main goal of course, was to use this rare opportunity to see and photograph the Kazakh Air and Air Defence Forces (KAADF). Most of the types of helicopters and aircraft in the current inventory were present.
On a cold, wet and cloudy first (trade) day, the Airforce decided to make some sunshine!

During the weekend, we enjoyed some blue skies and sunshine. This is how the Su27 demo turned out in sunshine:

One MiG.31 was present at the static, two more made a welcome pass on 3 of the 4 days:

The previous beast was followed by two Fulcrums:

A team was formed, flying 6 L.39's:

Not part of KADEX, but a welcome visitor was this An.26 on the 6th:

...and his smaller brother:

I hope you like them!!
