Trip Report...The Russian workhorse

Post by joostvandeelen »

Hi all,

Back again with a small trip report on yesterday´s aviation action.
I recently booked a roundflight from Teuge on a Classicwings An2 since it was about time to add a russian built plane to my experiences.
Here are some pictures, some a bit vintage..trip was excellent!

Most of AN-2s were built in Poland, so probably Polish...

The D-FONL is the former 888 of the NVA.
Construction Number is 17802, so my guess is that it was built in the Soviet Union.

The Polish built An-2 have c/n starting with 1G-... (or am I wrong on that?)

Best regards Rob.
