yes sure, here:

and here:

http://www.airshow.com.cn/cn/Article/xh ... 18970.html

http://www.airshow.com.cn/cn/Article/zh ... 18972.html

The third news item states the 14 PLAAF airplanes (which include the August 1st team) and they had a total of 70 confirmations (civil and military) but would become 85 at the time of the airshow. Also mentioned is some sort of a Heritage Flight being present.

edited: third news item added.

Could very well be, but at last show both jet aircraft were still operational!
Now both types are retired from active duty.

Are you sure about this? In June 2010 the J-6 was taken out of service, but the airshow took place in October that year.

Yep, that is (about) the official story, so maybe the fighter J6s were gone then. At least JZ6s kept operating (see 41.816833,123.296717), with the raplacement J8FRs still being delivered these months.

There is a rumour, that the AVIC will bring almost all of its in-production aircraft to Zhuhai. Wait and see ...

Because of all the rumours (and some spare time) I booked a ticket to China yesterday. Does anyone have information on a nice hotel very close to the runway or in the vicinity? I see some hotel on google maps but the do not mention the reviews.... Booking.com only gives the ones in town. If this is not the forum to ask I guess the moderator will tell me :-)

well that is an easy rumor as AVIC is the Aviation Industry of China and that is what this whole airshow is about  . With the normal attending PLAAF and civillian aircraft you already cover 90% of the in-production aircraft of the AVIC companies.

Hmmmmmm, it seems, the rumour is not a sensation!?

@stipjes: Some friends, who visited Airshow China several times, told me, that is not very easy to get a hotel near the airport. They recommended me to book a hotel in Zhuhai Gongbei area and so I did. For further information send me a personal message, if you like!

Cheers
