It is very very early to report changes for Summer 2013, but KLM has now loaded its Advanced Summer 2013 Schedule valid until 31 May 2013, which indicates:
- Atlanta from daily MD11 to daily A333
- Cairo from 3x B777 to 5x B777-200ER
- and some minor capacity changes
Still 9 months away, but Scandinavian Airlines have currently not scheduled any MD-80 series on CPH-AMS after 30MAR2013. This could mean the end of scheduled Mad Dog service to AMS.
Last scheduled MD-80 flight currently scheduled on 30MAR2013:
KLM has released some more schedule changes for summer 2013 compared to 2012:
- Buenos Aires will increase from 3 to 4 weekly opb 772
- Cape Town will decrease from 5 to 4 weekly opb 772
- Rio de Janeiro will increase from 3 to 4 weekly opb 772
- Tokio will be operated by 77W (1x weekly), and a mix of 74E (5x), 744 (2x), 772 (2x)
As KLM has started to fase out the MD-11 I was wondering what they are going to send to SXM ,BON and AUA as they are sending a mix of 747 and MD-11 over there.
GARUDA looks to introduce the B777-300ER on Non-Stop service JKT-AMS-JKT from Summer 2013 onwards:
'GARUDA CEO Mr Satar says Garuda also plans to use its first batch of 777-300ERs to serve Amsterdam non-stop. Currently Amsterdam is served with A330s via Dubai three times per week. Garuda expects to continue serving Dubai with A330s once the Amsterdam service is upgraded to non-stop. Garuda has 10 777-300ERs on order. Mr Satar says currently the carrier is slated to take three in 2013 (although it would like to take four “if we can") and the remaining seven in 2014 and 2015. '
In the Press Release announcing its new routes EMA-AMS and BHX-AMS for Winter 2012/2013, Flybe has already announced its plan to raise EMA-AMS-EMA to 2x daily in Summer 2013:
Quote:
Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has today confirmed details of the three new routes it will be adding to its already expanded schedule at East Midlands Airport; namely a choice of daily services to Amsterdam, double daily to Paris Charles de Gaulle, and a three times weekly flight to and from Jersey. The Amsterdam service is also planned to move to a double-daily service next summer. And.....the operating aircraft may well change from DH8-400 to EMB175.
- dep. 09:15 AMS - arr. 11:45 EWR UA 71 Non-Stop B752 daily
- dep. 10:10 AMS - arr. 13:50 IAH UA 59 Non-Stop B764 daily
- dep. 11:15 AMS - arr. 13:15 ORD UA 909 Non-Stop B763 daily
- dep. 12:15 AMS - arr. 14:50 IAD UA 125 Non-Stop B752 daily
This schedule may well change, as UA is replacing all B752 flights to AMS with B763 this coming winter.
It would surprise me if the B752 returned for Summer 2013.
