Sproat Lake 3 october - Philippine Mars to museum

Post by Rene Klok »

Me and my wife visited the Coulson tanker base today and saw that Philippine Mars (C-FLYK) is undergoing heavy maintenance prior to being flown to the Naval Museum in Pensacola, Florida in April 2013. After 5 years storage in the dry dock due to lack of work it now has been sold. It is currently being repainted in its original Navy colours (aircraft was completely covered in plastic about a month ago and engines were taken off). After its final flight it will be on display indoors. Pics of the current maintenance state will follow next week.
Groeten, Regards,
René
