During the NIDV symposium in Rotterdam, Fokker Services and partners Terma B.V., Airborne International, and Verebus signed a MOU with the goal of offering an efficient and cost effective solution for the provision of maintenance for the Dutch Royal Air Force Cougar fleet.

This agreement will provide a solution drawing on the unique knowledge and skills of the Dutch aerospace cluster in the field of maintenance concepts, composite materials, and configuration management.

Richard Jones, Senior Vice President, Terma Netherlands, is pleased with the collaboration: “Both Terma and Fokker Services strive for excellence in our solutions, so we look forward to explore the possibilities of cooperating with Fokker Services on the maintenance of Dutch Cougar helicopters.”

In the future outsourced maintenance of the Cougar fleet, this partnership offers an integrated and complete service concept.

Currently, the Dutch Ministry of Defence is investigating whether the maintenance of the eight Cougar helicopters serving with the Royal Dutch Air Force should be outsourced to industry - a theme that is high on the political agenda.

The Cougar is currently used by 41 Air Forces worldwide.
