Hi everyone,
New on this forum (as a poster that is) so hopefully I am posting in the right section ...
I recently found a box in my parents' attic containing an interception plotter, see pictures. I am aviation enthusiast but my knowledge of instruments is very very limited. My dad only knows it was once owned by the RAF, he was given the device ages ago. As you can see this one has never been used as some instruments are still in their original packaging, it seems to date from the WW II or early cold war era.
Can anyone help me with answers on the following questions (or know where I can find these answers):
- what was this device used?
- in what aircraft types
- in what period?
- is this set complete?
- are these devices rare/are they collectable?
Kind regards,
Stuart
