A-10s are part of exercise. See Spangdahlem forum for serials. More a/c to take part in the exercise and yes it was thought that they get support from tanker and awacs a/c.

Thank you, RAMA_77!

I have to thank a Portuguese aircraft photographer for the following departure info (including three submitted photos, already posted on my Warthog News blog and it's associated Facebook page):

Three-ship slot 1 (A-10Cs 81-0981, 81-0962, 82-0650) took off 09H26 but returned to base and landed again 11H52. Three-ship slot 2 (A-10Cs 82-0654, 82-0966, 82-0656) took off 10H55. Three-ship slot 1 (A-10Cs 81-0981, 81-0962, 82-0650) took off again 16H00 for final departure.

See: 81st Fighter Squadron A-10Cs departed Monte Real after exercise REAL THAW 2013 http://warthognews.blogspot.de/2013/02/ ... ed_22.html

Could you confirm which flight (related to A-10C serial numbers) departed for stopover at Lajes enroute CONUS?

I would be very grateful for any related proofs.
