In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

had the opportunity to take some pictures after GAF Airbus 10+23 arrived on the civil part of the airport.
It came with personal and material from Dschibuti, i guess.
Also a Citation was on the Ramp

Nice, never knew the civil apron is also visited by military aircraft sometimes.

Question: is the civil apron and taxiway to that apron former military infrastructure, or was it purposely built for civil use? Do you know how old the civil apron is?

As far as i know it is both. Part of the taxiway was always there but was smaller and was extended to the apron, which was newly build like the building and a hangar of the civil part.
The company of the Sea Airport was founded in 1995, the construction started early 2000 and was finished mid 2001
