Different NF-5 color schemes

Post by Iwan Bogels »

Can anybody tell me when the "new" NF-5 colorschemes were applied ? I know it's probably between 1983 - 1988, but I'm looking for something more specific. Any "first noted" dates for two-tone-grey stripes, the f-16-colors or the all-grey schemes ?

Best regards,
Iwan

Hi Iwan,

Have a pic of K-3058 at Eindhoven in the F-16 scheme, pic taken May 84.

Besides the F-16 scheme, there were a least two other grey colour schemes. First appearing in the same period as the F-16 scheme. Edit: that is actually what you said... sorry ;-)

Regards,
Stefan

Hoi Iwan,

Weet niet hoe betrouwbaar onderstaande site, maar sowieso interessant.

Iwan,

Did some research for you. Looked it over in the NF-5 book by Cor van Gent.
This tells me that on 19-07-1983, K-3005 was the first NF-5 in F16 colourscheme.

Cheers,
Ranger

Iwan,

K-4014 was the first NF-5 in the grey/grey camo on 14 April 1982.

Good weekend,
Dick
