Germany cancels Eurohawk program

Today it was anounced that the German Ministry of Defence anounced that it is cancelling the Eurohawk UAV program. One of the reasons given is that the type might not get certified for the European airspace. They found out after an investment of €1 Billion....

You got the figure a little bit wrong; it's not a billion, of course - in any case a lot of money was spent in vain, it seems.

I don't think the figure is wrong. The German/Dutch word "Miljard" translates into the English word Billion.
