Post by Stratofreighter »

...according to http://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=156478 the exact aircraft type involved isn't known yet.
The plane was on a training flight near the Shevlino airfield, in the Solnechnogorsky district, northwest of Moscow, when it got into a spin, crashed, and caught fire.

Media reports said on Sunday retired Lt. Col. Sergei Vasilyev of Russia’s famous Strizhi Aerobatic Display Team, was killed in the accident. An investigation is ongoing.
