The Salvadoran Air Force -or Fuerza Aérea Salvadoreña in Spanish, FAS- announced last month that they have decided to purchase additional Cessna A-37Bs (retired from the Chilean Air Force) instead of the new Embraer A-29 Super Tucano. At this moment official sources say that acquiring the old type seems to be a better investment than purchasing the Brazilian planes.
