REQ Agra AFS India

Post by witje »

Yesterday we passed Agra AFS in India. A C-47 was seen without wings so probably HJ905. But at the gate a Mi-4 in camo c/s was seen but no serial was noted. Also at the gate a fighter could be seen. But I could not recognise it clearly. Is this the Marut that is preserved on base at the air force school?

Hopefully someone has more info!

The Marut is preserved on the south side of the base, in the middle of the base. So I find it unlikely you saw that one. More likely it was a Flogger (27 I think, not sure) which is preserved close to the Mi-4 on the north side.
Mi-4: 27.169032N 77.965275E
Flogger: 27.168507N 77.965110E
Marut: 27.158538N 77.972420E

Thanks Erwin for your answer. I also found it on Google maps and it didn't look like a Marut. I didn't found anything about a MiG-27. Is there a serial known about this one?
