45 Minutes Plane Spotting @ Leeuwarden Air Base; The Last Operations With Frisian Vipers

Post by Redskin301 »

Here a video made during the last operational days of the Frisian Vipers at Leeuwarden Air Base in the Netherlands. This movie contains 45 minutes of pure aviation action spotting at Leeuwarden Air Base from the spotting hill at the Marsum side.

The Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) retired the F-16s from Leeuwarden and is now the first F-35A Lightning II only airbase in the Netherlands. In parallel to the last F-16 Fighting Falcon flights, also the Weapon Instructor Course took place at Leeuwarden.

The last F-16s from Leeuwarden left the airbase at July 5th 2021. the F-16s moved on the same day to their new home base Volkel in the south of the country.
