Except two the whole active German C-160D fleet was seen today on 26.07.:

C-160D of LTG 63 were:

50+49 (wfu), 50+57, 50+66 (towed into hangar), 50+79, 50+88 were on the ramp.

Later 50+36 was also towed there from a hangar whilst „Retrobrummel“ 50+40 was towed also to the ramp.

Active were 50+51 (departed) and 50+83 (training).

Doing a low overshoot was Sea Lynx Mk.88A 83+11 of 3./MFG 5.

C-160D 50+86 of WTD 61 was here for maintenance since early July and appeared also from the hangar. It made two short engine tests and will depart shortly to Manching.

Thank Herby, for the recently posted detailed information regarding the last German Transall's. I will be in the area next Friday/Saturday, hopefully able to catch some :).
I was just wandering: after disbandment of LTG63, will the GFD continue to fly their Learjets from Hohn?

GFD will stay at Hohn and the base will be in the hand of TLwG 51 in the future with some 60 soldiers of a „Flugplatzstaffel“ staying here.

It is planned that C-160D 50+57 is making it‘s last flight on 1.9. to Jever. With seven Transall LTG 63 will soldier on for another few months.
