Hello,
I did some spotting in the Cote dázur area and was a few hours at Le Luc, wasnt expecting much but 1 militairy and 1 security civil is very poor for this field...
I was for holidays in St.Tropez.
On my way to it I could photograph (ca 15km west of Le Luc) 2 choppers that were inbound Le Luc oct 18th:
(5471)/AYA AS555UN EAALAT
F-GKLD/65 AS350B3 Heli Protection
Oct 19th twice a NH90 from Le Luc made a nice go around in the bay near St Tropez. At ca 9.30 and 11.30h. Unfortunately not readable because of the black small code.
Thursday Oct 21st I visited the base from 8.30-10.30LT:
Flying were:
AS555UN: AYB/AYH/AYN/AYQ
1x Gazelle dep but due to passing securite not possible to read/photograph.
SA330 (1632)/DBN from 5 RHC Pau arrived for a short visit and dep again.
Tigers 74+41 and 74+47 made 2 missions
1x ALAT Tigre was just towed back in hangar 10.30h when it started to rain
EC135T2 F-ZBGF Douanes did all morning approaches
Read on east ramp from north side:
AS555UN AYC/AYJ/AYR? +1
Unfortunately no NH90/Gazelles/Puma's as those were at the Baccarat exercize.
Preserved:
Main gate: 1x Gazelle far end, 1x Al.3, 1x Broussart, Tigre F-ZWWW (serials I know)
The H-21 FR107/ESI moved to the dump north.
Also here are Puma (1010)/AZO sand c/s and an unknown bare metal Puma fuse.
Near the civil hangar west was a white A-109? F-.... stored outside
Not really at Le Luc but spotted on a hike to a nice beach near Ramateuille Oct 20th:
2x Mir 2000C from Orange made a nice low level over the coast (both no spec c/s) ca 13hrs
DHC-8 code 77 (read from picture) Securite Civile crossed to Corsica as Milan77
AS350B2 F-HBYE from Heli Securite passed. This is former 2114/F-ZBFD from Securite Civile
FAF4115 KC-135 (ADSB, 497/31-CM) was seen far in the descend to Nice.
F-HEGT EC155B1 Heli Securite passed
Oct 22 a grey/green AB412/212 passed the coast at 9.55hrs from west to east.
Not to forget the 19th I could photograph KC-130J overhead as Bronco51 at 8.59LT from Spain to east. ADSB gave 168069/BH-069 for this nice bird and I could also read code 069 under her wing from my pictures.
That Bell 412 was most likely a Slovenian one. I saw H2-31 parked at Marseille Marignane on the evening of October 21st, so very well possible to be your chopper.
