Cologne-Butzweilerhof airport?? Most people may never heard of this place. It was actually the first airport of Cologne and was established in 1911 and closed permanently on 31 Dec1995. The whole airport has been turned into a residential area. The old terminal however became the Motorworld museum and houses a large car collection. It also a Fokker Friendship outside so worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood. The paint has been scraped off earlier this year so wonder if it gets a new coat. Time will tell....
