A South Korean Air Force Northrop F-5E, operated by 10th FW,
crashed under unknown circumstances into a mountain in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province.
The pilot didn't survive.

You are mixing things up; it was a Taiwanese F-16 that went missing and a South Korean KF-5E that crashed.

The 36-year old KF-5E had warninglights for both engines go on immediately after take off and it nosedived. South Korean media report that 'the pilot tried to escape' probably pointing to an unsuccesful ejection.
