The word on the street is that an unsecured item was sucked into the engine on the take-off run, possibly a cover removed from the airplane pre-flight, and not secured properly.

The leaking offender has already been flown off the carrier...

The wreckage has been recovered/salvaged, it is to be transported to a Mediterranean naval base.
We shall soon find out which port/harbor in Italy or France

Defence sources said they were "pleasantly surprised" at how quick the recovery was,
and they are "confident" the F-35's sensitive equipment has not been compromised.

ZM152 has been confirmed as the jet lost.

Delivered to Marham in July 2019.
