Interesting Erwin! Thanks for digging this up!

It is intriguing why they mention the killing of one specific soldier and delete a page with the total number. Maybe an editor went rogue.

See story here and you can find the article on internet. Clearly a mistake to quote a Kremlin official.

Russian Mi-35 bites the dust

More spectacular, a Russian Landing Ship blew up in the harbor of Berdyansk. Looks pretty catastrophic, two other landing ships sailed away, but might have been damaged.

Video of the burning wreck of the above mentioned Su-34 near Izyum. Although the tweet now claims it is a Su-35. But there is also a retweet of the alleged captured pilot in which he is mentioned as a Su-30SM pilot from Kursk... In other words some confussion about the type, but something was cancelled near Izyum, that's for sure.

I find it difficult to search for an up to date list of aircraft and helicopters losses in this war.
For example, this one seems to be quite passive for a while : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_a ... ainian_War (I doubt that Russia sustained no losses for 12 days + almost nothing about Khersons's air base attack(s)).

Which source do you advise, which would be both reliable (both sides seem to overestimate the foe's losses) and reasonnably carefull, thus for example not only reporting filmed shot-downs ?

The best kept list is the one at Oryxspioenkop (search for 'aircraft' to find the interesting bit in the mega list). The caveat here though, is that only those losses of which pictures or videos are available are included. Many of the claimed aircraft losses are not in the list. Of course some are inflated, but this one only lists 17 Russian aircraft (and 35 helicopters) which absolutely is an undercount. Another problem is that you will have to click on each link separately to get some more info.

By the way, they have already passed 2.000 Russian vehicle and aircraft losses!!

In additional footage (then) Major Kosik, now a Lt.Col., is seen exiting a Kursk MiG-29SMT which might indicate that he indeed is a Su-30SM pilot as14.GvIAP at Kursk has transitioned to the Su-30SM.

Another Hind wreck in a field. Identification seems possible, but sadly not on this picture:

If that one indeed managed to (crash) land (instead of being hit while already on the ground), it must be the record holder of damaged-aircraf-still-able-to-land-safely
