RCH456 is KC10 850028.
KC135s 591508 and 623519 departed with LAGR45x callsigns to Turkey like 580103 and 580035 did yesterday.
KC135 638018 went home to Nebraska (610267 left yesterday for CONUS).
So no tankers left? Or is the KC10 the new TDY?

Maybe interesting to mention: be aware that the german Police is more active lately around the base checking and several fines have been handed out to people parking their car near the forrest entrance near the bench there near the rwy23 approach...!

Thanks Reaper. Mmm, so how far down that road are you officially allowed to go? Around the housing area and leave it somewhere near the NE corner of the base or not all on that side? Long tome since I was there, not sure what the signs say.

When in Binsfeld you drive to Saalholzstrasse, just south of the base past the aprons where the bigbirds like the KC-135's, C-17's are parked towards the forrest entrance. Just past the first or second house there is a sign saying 'anlieger frei', so open only for residents (missed the sign the first time, but checked later and indeed it's there). So you are not allowed to enter there and continue to drive towards the forrest entrance and park there. This means you basicly have to park in Binsfeld, making a walk towards the 23 approach position at least twice as long (from 1 km to 2,5 km or something like that).

Ah OK, I thought this was for coming up to the 23 approach from the other direction, around the NE side of the base (also illegal probably).. An alternative to the Saalholzstrasse might be parking in Mulbach, though it's still a bit of a hike, especially with stairs I reckon, although I never had to try that. Pity! Thanks for the heads up.
