We've visited RIAT yesterday for the airshow and will be attending the departure day tomorrow.
We have tickets to go on base. Does someone know where you can stand? Will this be on the bleachers or in the field alongside the runway?
With the current heat I would advise to go to the 09 threshold, you will miss quite a lot flying high over. But the 27 threshold pictures will be heatwave only..
And you are closer to your car for shade, drinks rec.

Thanks.
So expected take offs tomorrow are from 27?
And yesterday we had to park in the red area because we came from the east. How is that tomorrow?
For Park & View on Monday forget the regular parking lots. Instead follow the signs for Park & View West (for RWY27 takeoff). In my experience over the last 20 odd years, many aircraft will actually stay low to please the enthusiasts. In addition, various aircraft parked on the western end will taxi in front of you to cross the runway to the northern side (and hence will taxi to the RWY27 takeoff point). Good luck and stay cool.
Can anyone confirm if Saab T-17 Supporter
T-411 or T-426 flew in Saturdays display?.The checklist on threshold.aero has T-426 and the checklist on MSF has T-411. The other 5 aircraft are the same on both checklists.
Many thanks
Kevin
One more question: did anyone log the C-5M that passed overhead at trailing height somewhere between 06.45 and 07.30 local time? And the activities of the A330’s that could be seen flying in and out of Brize? Thete were several during the day; one of them already crossed FFD inbound Brize somewhere between 06.45 and 07.15..

FYI: the Official RIAT Aircraft Checklist contains (at least) one error: The CV-22B in the static park is NOT 11-0055 BUT 11-0057. This also makes more sense as 11-0055 is not a valid CV-22 serial, as -0055 is Fiscal Year 10. But 11-0057 is.
