Provided the airport is the pick up point, point your satnav to the Teslalaan in Drachten. This gets you to the south of the runway.
Maybe oftopic but how is the view there, looks like a lot of bushesHans Rolink wrote: ↑11 Nov 2022, 18:17Provided the airport is the pick up point, point your satnav to the Teslalaan in Drachten. This gets you to the south of the runway.
Hans.
Hopefully they indeed choose that side for landing, for take off it'll suck then, although the assigned landing spots for the chinooks for at least pickup are right next to the bushes and you still can get amazing pictures from the helicopters even tho the grown bushline may be in the way sometimeslievers-online wrote: ↑11 Nov 2022, 18:39 (very) Limit view unfortunately at the Teslalaan, actually a small area with no trees but you might be able to take some shots on arrival / departure over the tree line actually the wind direction might be favorable tomorrow for that spot, good luck
Yes, they've boarded the troops and de-boarded them on the field today as well, 11LMB also said today that indeed the airport is the pickup spot seeing it's in friendly hands now, a mechanized brigade will secure the LZ while 11LMB and Polish troops go back to base trough an heli airbridge, first wave arrives around 10, last around 12
