Between all the Southwest issues and a leaking fuel pipe, KSAN doesn't have enough fuel for all the jets here. Many departures are making stops, even on in state routes, just to top off fuel.
San Diego to San Francisco? Sure, but we'll be stopping in Ontario (Calif, not Canada) for go juice. JAL 65, the Dreamliner flight to Narita has been stopping at LAX the last couple days.
