The An-26 aircraft, which was flying on Monday from Magan (belongs to the urban district of Yakutsk) to Magadan,
returned to the airport of departure due to depressurization of the cabin, no one was injured.
This was reported in the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the RF IC.
"It has been preliminary established that on January 9, 2023, at about 14:00 local time (08:00 Moscow time),
at the An-26 aircraft flying on the Magan-Magadan route,
after taking off from the Magan airport of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia),
as a result of the failure of the locks
The cargo ramp on the right side was partially opened,
after which the right and central mounts of the ramp were damaged and part of the luggage flew out of the aircraft.
There were 25 passengers and six crew members on board the aircraft," the report says.
The commander decided to return the aircraft to the airport of departure.
The landing was made safely, there were no casualties and no damage to the aircraft, the ministry added.
On this fact, the Yakut Investigation Department for Transport of the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Russian Investigative Committee
is conducting a pre-investigation check under Part 1 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation
("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements of the safety of life and health of consumers").
The audit was also initiated by the Yakut transport prosecutor's office.
"There were no victims, the passengers were provided with a hotel, hot meals," the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office said.
The plane belongs to the Irkutsk airline IrAero.
The press service of the TASS carrier reported that the aircraft had a hatch depressurization at an altitude of 2800-2900 m.
An-26 was operating a charter flight on the Irkutsk-Yakutsk-Magadan route.
Landing in Magan was initially caused by weather conditions in Yakutsk.
