Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).
Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.
Opportunity came to visit several airports in Michigan. The weather didn't help but I was glad I had the chance.
Started at DTW airport. Nothing was around the airport (except for the Tigers DC-9-51) so I headed straight to Willow Run airport - YIP.
Ramps full of goodies. My most exotic catch was Mexican DC-9 in Mercado Libre special colors.

Even in this company, the Mexican duo are the winners indeed for me!
While I was driving around the airport I saw another Mexican DC-9 landing. Unfortunately for me, he parked behind the Evrets MD-80 and there was no way to get a shot.
Next stop on the map was Pontiac airport. I was in a hurry and had time to visit only IFL Group ramp. Active ramp was empty and storage ramp had plenty of Convairs 580 + Falcons 20.
PTK
From Pontiac airport I headed out North for a brief stop at Flint airport (FNT). Airport was deserted with two Allegiant Air A320s and Fedex heavy.
In the evening I arrived at Oscoda airport. Storage and maintenance place for Kalitta Air. I saw about 30 747s, 10 727s, bunch of 737s and MD-80 etc. Snow storm prevented from getting around the east side of the airport and from taking a lot of pictures. As I knew that I will come back, I didn't worry too much.
Some of the things that I've shot in the evening:

Some very nice catches!!
Looks like a nice roadstip, despite the cold.
Thanks. Airports around Michigan have some real gems hidden around. Car manufacturers make it special for cargo operators to fly 'everything' to the local airports. As for the road trip, it was mandatory (for work). I would never even imagine to drive in that part of the world in winter
More shots coming.
Next airport was Alpena Regional, located 45 minutes north of Oscoda. Not much action over there, but they have an official aircraft observation area. The only airline serving that airport is Delta once daily from Detroit and once from Pellstone MI.
The ramp had two Islanders and 5 tons of snow
On the way back home I stopped again at Pontiac airport to see if the ramp lineup has changed from few days ago.
I was happy to see two 727s and 3 CRJ-F.
Last stop before dropping off the car at DTW was Willow Run airport. Not much has changed since the last visit week and a half ago. My two gems which I was happy to get were USA Jet Falcon 20 in new colors and MD-80 in the "old" new colors
Nice to see the DC8 N865F, seen in the past at AMS in different colours like,ONA/OVERSEAS NATIONAL AL,SEABOARD WORLD AL,SAUDIA ARABIAN AL,and as EMERY WORLDWIDE.
