Izvestia: AirBridgeCargo will resume air cargo transportation to China on Il-96
The largest Russian cargo airline AirBridgeCargo (ABC) will resume flights after a complete halt in operations in March 2022, Izvestia reports, citing unnamed sources.
AirBridgeCargo announced that it will lease two Il-96-400 cargo planes and resume transportation on them. The first flight on the Moscow-Beijing route is scheduled for June 2023.
The details of the agreement on the transfer of two aircraft are in the process of being agreed, but it is already known that the parties are considering expanding the order to 10 aircraft. ABC expects that the first IL will arrive at the airline in June 2023, the second – at the beginning of 2024.
