Lufthansa sends Boeing 747 from Frankfurt to Hamburg
The German airline flies the Frankfurt - Hamburg - Frankfurt circuit five times in May with a Boeing 747-400. Long-haul jets also go to Spain and France.

Lufthansa regularly uses aircraft from the Airbus A320 family on the rotation from Frankfurt to Hamburg.
But there will be exceptions in May 2023.
The route is served five times with a 747-400, as first reported by the Travel Dealz portal.
Lufthansa will deploy the queen of the skies to Hamburg on a morning rotation on May 2nd, 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th this 2023.
The reason lies in the “training needs for pilots”, as a Lufthansa spokesman said.
Short-distance service is offered on the route.
No increase in capacity
However, the capacity will not be higher than that of a regularly deployed Airbus A321.
Lufthansa blocks the rear part of the economy cabin and the upper deck of the machine.
This means that only around 200 places are on sale.
The last time Lufthansa used a Boeing 747 in domestic traffic
was after the Air Berlin bankruptcy.
The reason was the extraordinarily high demand for tickets.
In total, the four-jet flew around 60 flights between Frankfurt and Berlin-Tegel.
