I will be on Sardinia next week. Is Decimomannu still an active base these day and worth visiting?

Absolutely! The International Flight Training School is based here and nearly all T-346’s have moved here from Lecce-Galatina by now. Also, an Italian Air Force SAR unit is operating out of ‘Deci’ with their HH-139’s. You should have a good time on the island of Sardinia with plenty of M-346 activity.
