Civil Protection now has six aircraft assigned to the aerial device that operates from the Algarve region.

The number of aerial means to fight rural fires in the Algarve has increased to six, announced the Regional Command. The Civil Protection has, as of this Tuesday, a helicopter in Faro.

In a statement released by the Regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection of the Algarve,
the availability of air resources to combat rural fires was increased
with the arrival this morning of a Kamov-32 heavy bomber helicopter
at the "new Temporary Air Resources Center of the Portuguese Authority National Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC)

Civil Protection now has six aircraft assigned to "the aerial device that operates from the Algarve region,
including rural firefighting planes and helicopters", reads the note.

The helicopter, which has been at the service of ANEPC since June 21st,
has so far been parked at Air Base number 11 in Beja,
due to the expansion and requalification works of the Helicopter Base in Permanent Service (BHSP) in the Algarve,
installed in Loulé Municipal Heliport,
whose completion date has been postponed to December, adds the Algarve regional command.

You are mixing things up dude. This Kamov is NOT one of the civil protection Kamovs. Portugal is renting choppers left and right each year to fight the fires, this is just one of them. I honestly do not know what the status of the transfer of the Portuguese Kamovs is, but this is totally unrelated.
