Bremen (EDDW) Mil

Post by Herby »

Noted on Adsbexchange on 13.5. refueling in the afternoon was Belgian Navy Alouette III M1/OT-ZPA of 40.Smd. flying with Air Force Callsign BAF 711. After taking off it flew south of Hamburg and perhaps landed at 17.30h for another refueling stop at Lübeck.

The more than fifty years old helicopter did one of it’s very rare visits in Germany at all.

Anyone is aware where it is going to?

Obviously it flies to BNS "Godetia", which came from Klaipeda to the Lückeck Bay/Baltic.

Yesterday, 23-07-2021 we noted inside the Atlas Air Service hangar an unknown black/grey An-28 or M-28.
Due to the angle and reflections in the window it was not possible to identify this one.
Might be a MIL one or a CIV one so any help is welcome, thanks in advance.

Thanks for this "heads up".

I visited Bremen yesterday and the M-28 was clearly visible with serial 43 (as stated bij T7, just to confirm) on the right hand side in the Atlas hangar.

Good visited,

Visited Bremen Saturday evening (20.30/21.00), and after quite some effort (I was looking from the wrong side into the hangar)
finally catched the M28. For those who also want to try their luck: it can be seen from 53.053254 8.778368.

Obviously 23F Atlantique 2 28 made an emergency landing at Bremen after it’s flight over the Baltic Sea. It first circled north of Bremen and landed on the right engine only (!) due to fire on the left one around 13.15h.

FNY5029 (Emb.121AN, serials 072 per ADSB) seems enroute, probably to pick up the crew.

This could be a very tight thing, with possiibly 12-14 crew members in the Atlantique and 8-9 seats in the Xingu. :-) But some technicans and the flight engineer would perhaps left behind.
