Air France is leaving Paris Orly Airport. The French newspaper Le Monde writes this and refers to sources within the unions at the airline group. According to the newspaper, Air France will probably announce the move to depart from Paris' second airport on Wednesday. Air France wants to focus exclusively on flights from Charles de Gaulle Airport in the capital.
KLM did not fly to Paris Orly. Transavia in France, which also belongs to the Air France-KLM airline group, is a major user of the airport. According to Le Monde, this will not change.
An Air France spokesman declined to comment on the report. The company told Bloomberg news agency that a meeting with unions is planned for Wednesday and that any information will go to them first.
Air France uses the airport south of Paris, among other things, for flights to the French Antilles.
