Thanks for the link Sleegertje. 31:48 shows the two F-16s we need. The C-130 suggestion is good although the a/c was still wearing a stars 'n' bar flag and had gone from the ramp by lunchtime the next day.Sleegertje wrote: ↑05 Dec 2023, 15:28 Many thanks for this log, much appreciated.
The C-130H USAF could be the 91-9143 which is also going to be a C-130 for the Romanian Air Force, expected Romanian serial will be 9143.
Here you can watch the whole ceremonie including the flypast:

The correct type is S.70M not S.70I.Wave 6
271 S.70I SMURD
275 S.70I SMURD
Hi Terry, Many thanks for the additions, particularly confirmation of Sleegertje's suggestion of 19143 for the C-130.Blackbird 1313 wrote: ↑07 Dec 2023, 02:18 Freeman. You beat me to it, with your excellent Flypast Log.
I viewed, the Flypast from N44.48328 E026.07581.This in on a boulevard, named, Soseau Bucharesti Ploiesti, which is near the railway station.
From here, the flypast passes right to left. I was thwarted, by the light a little. But didn't do too badly.
Your log proved, I wasn't seeing things or going mad, by confirming J-010 and J-019.
You also, added the Germans for me, I saw they were both 31+??
I have, Wave 11 as 1613. 1624 and the only one I missed 160?
On Thursday afternoon (30th) I read off C-130H 19143 still showing a US Flag on the tail.
This was seen from near a cemetery off Strad Travan Vuia N44.556914, E026.094710. The view from here, having decreased since 2019.
I saw the C-130H again on Tuesday 5th, this time from the terminal. From here, it was to the left, of the main Herc ramp. I didn't think, it had moved since Thursday.
Thanks again Freeman, for a great log.
I'm glad, I was able to add some information for you.
Cheers.

Most sources ID them as S.70i sadly. I am not 100% sure, but if I remember correctly, Romania is the first, who received the M version made in Poland.Freeman Lowell wrote: ↑07 Dec 2023, 10:01Thank you for the correction Levente. I was working off Scramble's original report of their delivery.

Can confirm, I saw the data plate on the helicopter and it is S-70M. A fifth S-70 came into the country these past days.
During the Open Days at Base 90 this past autumn, I saw that there are now earth walls/dykes/levees/mounds on the base, in front of the ramp.Freeman Lowell wrote: ↑07 Dec 2023, 09:58We also have tried from the graveyard area previously and agree the massive investment in the base has reduced the views.Blackbird 1313 wrote: ↑07 Dec 2023, 02:18 This was seen from near a cemetery off Strad Travan Vuia N44.556914, E026.094710.
