Post by TaveMyliu »

Hello everyone.

Long time ago no post here. But always see the Info!

I am planning going to Nellis in 24-1, although I don’t know exactly the dates.

Please, Anyone can help me with that?

All the info will be more than welcome.

Thank you very much in advance.

Tave.

No confirmed dates yet. Check “Dreamlandresort.com”, the area 51 website, from time to time.

Oh hey, just realized this for 24-1: the Super Bowl is in Las Vegas on Feb 11th. I haven't made up my mind about going to Vegas for 24-1, but if I do, I won't be there anywhere near game day. The airport is gonna be jammed up, hotel rates up, and traffic is going to be crazy.

Doesn't the first one usually last for three weeks?

I believe it will last three weeks. However the last two weeks will be dispersed over other airfields and will be held over the water near San Diego. Similarly as last year.

That was RF23-3 was it not? The 3rd one is the US only one which makes that option viable. 1st one is "five eyes" IIRC, 2nd is open to allies.

Acc X: sir listenalot: RAF #A332 #43C6F8 #RRR9410 dragging (six) #EUFI out of Coningsby. Looking at the Santa Maria ALTRV, I'd say they're inbound Lajes for a future oceanic crossing.

Typhoons of 3 sq as possible Red Flag 24-1 participants.

ADSB
Voyager ZZ335
Typhoon ZK344

Acc Fighter Control:
9854/5/6 ZK344, ZK308, ZK436 then 9851/2/3 ZK437, ZK377, ZK432. ( tx Dave )

Please note that January 15th is a national holiday in the US. Last year no flying at all on that day at Nellis........

The January/February one is always a 3 week flag too. It doesn't mean to say that all 3 weeks will take place from Nellis though...

In a press release from 388FW / Hill AFB today it is stated that the 388FW is the core unit for Red Flag 24-1.

"The 421st Fighter Squadron and 421st Fighter Generation Squadron, alongside Reservists from the 419th Fighter Wing will
deploy the F-35A Lightning II and approximately 200 Airmen to train alongside other Air Force, DOD, and allied-nation units".

No dates are mentioned.

According to Fighter Control another two Typhoons left Coningsby today en-route Lajes:
9857 showing as ZK314, 9858 showing as ZK357 along with Voyager ZZ343/RRR9420.
