Riyadh - King Khalid IAP => edited

Post by patrick dirksen »

Hi all,

While visiting Saudi Arabia for the World Defense Show, we also took a look at the International Airport, where amongst others a maintenance company is based that does work on aircraft of the RSAF.

King Khalid IAP, Riyadh

1801 E-3A nn (18 sq)
2303 E-3A nn (23 sq)
8309 Tornado IDS nn (83 sq)
HZ-104 bizzjet nn (1 sq/Royal Flt) => EDIT: I am told this is Gulfstream IVSP c/n 1365, former HZ-MS4
HZ-MS5A Gulfstream V nn (MODHS/33 sq)
HZ-MS40 bizzjet nn (MODHS/33 sq) => EDIT: most probably Gulfstream 450 HZ-MS4C
(A9C-KOB) S-92 Bahrein Royal Flight
7O-VIP B.757-23P Yemen Government

EDIT: also seen landing was a white Hercules, which should be 111 according to ADSB.
And on the 8th, our departure day, a B.777 of the UAE was parked. This is probably A6-SIL, as the only other candidate (A6-ALN) has not been noted for some 10 years. A long shot, but confirmation would be nice...

By the way, a log of the RSAF museum can be found here: https://www.scramble.nl/community/messa ... /81/174165
And a log of the World Defense Show is here: https://www.scramble.nl/community/messa ... /18/174164
