AF-450 is in the early stages of production.
Nope, they are in FY 2023.Starfighter_F-104G wrote: ↑31 Mar 2024, 21:13there might be some ''AZ''Bjorn wrote: ↑31 Mar 2024, 09:36 And if I can read correctly the serial on the front landing gear door says 225737, which would mean there are 48 USAF F-35s going till serial 22-5729 with the Australians there after with 22-5730 till 22-5738, then the Danish with 22-5739 till 22-5742, then the Dutch with 22-5743 till 22-5745, then the Norwegians with 22-5746 till 22-5751.
So remains the Italians, Israeli, Japanese and Belgian.
With the USAF 22-5720 also flying we are finally nearing the end of the FY 2022 series.
Greets,
AF-450 will certainly be 2023 yes. Since FY22 probably runs till 22-5776, then the 2023 batch would starts with 23-5777 which would mean AF-450 would be somewhere 23-599X.NJO wrote: ↑04 Apr 2024, 11:5023-57xx not 22-57xx?AndyMarden wrote: ↑04 Apr 2024, 10:57 Sorry, what's your point?

Héhé, typo off course. 23-579X.
Well, I apparantly can't access the picture, so can't check. But you state that the FY 2023 order also has 22 serials? Would be strange, but not entirely impossible since there weren't 2021 serials either.
Seems perfect sense. Don't have the picture no. When I click the link it gives me an access denied.Starfighter_F-104G wrote: ↑07 Apr 2024, 15:44 Follow the contract and remember the FY15 contract and the missing FY16 serials
Now:
PLANNED
contract for Lot 15 & Lot 16 with Lot 17 as option in FY21
Lot 15 & Lot 16 with FY21 (FY22 missing)
Lot 17 with FY23
BUT, due to some DELAY, the agreement arrived in FY22 and NOT in FY21

More than 10 months beyond the originally expected goal, the F-35 Joint Program Office and Lockheed Martin have reached a “handshake deal” on Lots 15-17 of the fighter, which collectively will amount to only 375 aircraft.
So:
Lot 15 & Lot 16 with FY22 (FY21 missing)
Lot 17 will have FY23 ( May 2, 2023 Lockheed Awarded $7.8B Contract Option for Lot 17 F-35 Production, Delivery Services
