Government news website IRNA said the president’s helicopter is believed to have crashed in the Dizmar protected area, a forested and mountainous zone.

There is no confirmation on what type of helicopter was carrying the president and his team.

But later sources reported that it was a Bell helicopter. Must be then an AB205 or an (A)B412.

Bit puzzled the pictures on different news sites show he arrived in a Bell 212 (only 2 rotors) in the same colours.
Also in articles its referred to as a Bell 212 is missing.

However, it is also reported there were three helicopters of which one crashed, the other two reportedly landed savely. In that case I would not be surprised of the picture is just one of those three, without any evidence it is the one that crashed.

The helicopter was found by a Turkish drone flying from the Turkish air base Van.

The crash site is in a very remote area.

Bild reports the flight consisted of two Mi8s and one 212. The two Mi-8s landed.
The B.212 was apparently only equipped for VFR, and the weather was way too bad for that.
