Köln-Bonn (EDDK/CGN) 2024

Post by patrick dirksen »

Question: on a mailinglist it is mentioned both A.340s of the FBS are stored since August last year. Is this correct, have they been withdrawn?

Yes both A340-300 are retired by the Luftwaffe.
The 16+02 was sold and ferried to Roswell and is stored as N577TA (-> https://www.planespotters.net/airframe/ ... ion/348v9e).
The 16+01 is stored at Cologne/Bonn (-> https://www.planespotters.net/airframe/ ... rce/rqpmye) and is put up for sale (-> https://www.aerotelegraph.com/auktion-f ... t-begonnen).

How could you have seen 16+01 on 10JUN when it left Cologne/Bonn forever on 15MAY? Since that day it has been parked in Terutel/Spain.

There was a big Airbus near the woods....I was assuming it was 16+01....as 16+02 went to the States...didn't actually read it off...but I checked my pictures again....and this one has two engines....so should be a A350....but can't read the serial
Sorry
