The last four weeks of German Navy Sea King Mk.41 operations will begin shortly!

Two further helicopters left for Portland on 30./29.07. and these were respectively 89+61 and 89+66. Now only the two special painted ones, 89+58 and 89+63, plus 89+55 are still airworthy with MFG 5.

Correction:

89+66 is also still in Germany, but was seen with a taped white serial on 26.7.

That's interesting. Will Ukraine now receive one of the specially painted ones instead, since they were promised to get six Sea King Mk 41s?

Thank you for the update Herby. It seems then I overlooked one, as I have only 89+56, 61 and 64 being delivered to Portland so far, Plus the one being flown over at the very moment I'm typing this (89+66?). One more to go (89+68 I guess).

Well, obviously it looks like only five flyable Sea Kings will go to UKR, perhaps some wfu GIA also.

Latest reports say that also 89+58 will leave for the Ukraine and will be repainted after 31.8. This will be the sixth Sea King and making the half-dozen complete.
