I assume static at Sanicole and not Kleine-Brogel? So these helicopters wil not be present at the Kleine-Brogel spotterday? I assume the same for the Austria and Dutch PC-7's. I hope I am wrong and these aircraft land at Kleine-Brogel and can be seen and photographed at Kleine-Brogel.
I guess they will spend the nights in Brogel.
According to a member of the organisation the helicopters will be arriving before showhours every day and remain overnight at Kleine-Brogel, this was also the case in 2022 but that year not every helicopter went to KEBEE to remain overnight there, unsure if thats the case again this year that not everything goes back to Kleine-Brogel, on the Saturday spottersday in 2022, most helicopters were viewable there and both German NH90s + the Sokol + the Belgian A109 were all parked there till in the afternoon + the Dutch Apache performing a low pass on its way to Sanicole to then fly back that evening to KEBEE. The PC7s will be arriving straight into Sanicole and will be remaining there.
After years of enjoying A109 solo display at Sanicole, the display team has been disbanded.
That doesn’t mean there won’t be any A-109 action though, you’ll even get double action!
Don’t miss a unique performance by two A-109 helicopters
of the Role Demo Team 'Mighty Griffons'
at the International Sanicole Airshow on 21 & 22 September 2024 at Hechtel-Eksel.
17 squadron from Beauvechain will perform a tactical demonstration
with two of these attractive helicopters,
demonstrating how these helicopters still contribute to Belgium’s defence today in the twilight of their active service,
performing real-world tactics in front of the crowd
as they present a medevac mission with an A109
modified for medical evacuation missions with a regular A109 flying overhead to provide aircover.
Thanks to Safety Jogger and Stijn De Jaeghere Aerobatics,
you can see this flying legend gliding through the air above Sanicole.
His aircraft is based in Ostend and wears the colours of the US Navy.
The Red Devils will deliver their final public performance on Sunday 22 September 2024,
in anticipation of the withdrawal from service of their Marchetti SF-260s.
This emotional moment will be given an extra dedication as they join up with
the Fouga Magister from the Stampe & Vertongen museum
for a final few formation flypasts over the Sanicole airfield.
the Horsemen Flight Team, in Belgium for the first time!
The team flies three P-51 Mustang fighters.
After the heritage flight with the USAF Viper Demo Team,
a third Mustang will join the early Mustang B-model ‘Berlin Express’ and the Mustang D-variant ‘Hun Hunter’
for a unique close formation aerobatics display over the Sanicole airfield.
The three pilots all come over from the United States
and the team only rarely appears in Europe.
