November 2024: Icelandair "long" Boeing 757-300s to be retired. Last Amsterdam flights....

The end of the 757-300 might be sooner than expected.

The carrier's last passenger-carrying flight is scheduled and bookable for October 29, 2024,
shortly after northern airlines switch to winter schedules.

The Boeing 757-300 will most likely be seen at Schiphol for the last time on October 21, 2024
at least on a regular basis.
The only airline that still flies the 757-300 to the Dutch airport has scheduled this type to Schiphol for the last time then.

The Icelanders will replace their aging 757s in the coming years
with the Long Range and later also Xtra Long Range variant of the A321neo.
