There have been 5 LN coded new F-35A seen at Nellis recently, so it looks like these are now based there. Could be that some of the Nellis TR2 F-35A end up at Lakenheath as a swap.

It is one United States F-35 Lightning II unit operating in the ongoing Middle East crisis:

It is CVN-72 Lincoln with 12 F-35C from VMFA-314.

Have I the right connexion?

22-5691/22-5705 and now 22-5711 all identified. All still coded "LN".

Is 22-5786 a new serial? I thought that AF-449 is 22-5965?

Thanks

So in fact you had the 'original' Lot 15 jets amounting to 48 (AF-382/AF-429 - 22-5682/22-5729) and then they started construction on the Lot 16 jets amounting to 11 so far (AF-430/AF-440 - 22-5946/22-5956) and then converted back to the extra Lot 15 jets (modification contract) which started with AF-441 (22-5778), right. I thought Lot 16 was also for 48 jets originally, so this would mean the remaining 37 jets would be serialled after the other countries' Lot 16 jets.

Wow......

Greets,
1st USAF assigned serials for LO 15 & Lot 16 in sequence
2nd When was signed the Lot 15 modification contract they assigned the extra serials
At the time Lot 16 aircraft were not yet under construction

AF serials are in this order
Lot 15
Lot 16
Lot 15 modification contract - AF serials after the Lot 16 jets but put in assembly BEFORE

separate discussion is the firing order
L/N - C/N - Type (F-35A / B / C) - AF serial or BUNO - client - desigantion (client code) - client registration
