Narrative:

A Robin DR400/100 Dauphin 2+2 made a forced landing in a field near the Oosterpad in Marken.

The engine was sputtering before the emergency landing, according to eyewitnesses.

all's well that end well. But note that Marken is -for almost seven decades !- connected by a road on a dike, so since then it is a peninsula. in Dutch lingo 'schiereiland'.

Tot 1957 was Marken alleen per veerboot bereikbaar, zowel vanuit Volendam als vanuit Monnickendam.
Sinds 1957 is er vanuit Monnickendam de dijk naar Marken en ... (etc)
