Helicopter crashed into the Chanmico lagoon in San Juan Opico

The helicopter was carrying out firefighting tasks in the northern sector of the Escalón colony, on the San Salvador Volcano.
EL SALVADOR.- This Sunday, February 1,
Cruz Verde Salvadoreña reported the crash of a helicopter in the Chanmico lagoon, in San Juan Opico,
while collecting water to put out the fire on the slopes of the San Salvador volcano.
"Members of Cruz Verde Lourdes were mobilized to the site to provide assistance to the injured,
while the Air Force transferred the four crew members by helicopter," they said.
The helicopter was carrying out firefighting tasks in the northern sector of the Escalón colony, on the San Salvador Volcano.
“We inform that an Air Force helicopter crashed in the Chanmico lagoon, San Juan Opico, La Libertad,
while it was receiving water with the Bamboo Bucket system to extinguish the fire affecting part of the San Salvador Volcano.
The 4 crew members are out of danger,” confirmed the Armed Forces.
