Being a fleet squadron, I don't think HSM-78 will have a modex 08.

Any idea how many F-15s are still Kadena based (if at all?)

One F-15 was noted in a HAS, but none have been seen flying, so I would say the day of the F-15 at this base are all but over-if or until they receive F-15EXs in the future.
