During the open house at Geilenkirchen (16/17 June) there will be no flight demonstrations.

Hello,
The same was with the shows in 1998 and 2000 so no surprise.
Geilenkirchen is in Germany, so air show rules are very strict and this normally means no flying or just some flyby's.

I assume the participating aircraft will arrive on Friday?
(Remembering the "encounters" with the KMar of th eprevious Open Dag at Volkel, it might be a better bet going to Geilenkirchen instead of Volkel on Friday!)

Why?? The arivals for the Volkel open days are till thursday, as the opendays will be on friday and saturday.

The MP / civil guards at GKE can be very strict / persuasive (when a lot of people show up at the fence……)

No problem, the last year(s) during the “cultural” events (last one was in 2005).
People where allowed to photograph all the planes on site (unfortunately at that time only their own E-3a’s).
So do not expect any problems with bringing your photo camera
