Forum for all "old aircraft" related news, background, discussions and research.
Forum rules
Forum for all news, background, discussions and research on vintage aircraft, warbirds and wrecks & relics (stored, preserved, dumped etc). Actual logs -especially those of active airfields- are preferred to be posted in the appropriate Spotters forums.
The post that Copter refers to has been archived.
Ralph, Copter is absolutely right and you will not use this MB to encourage others to trespass, invade private property (especially not that of friendly and co-operative aviation collection holders ) and spoil the good name of your fellow spotters. If anything like this happens again I will suggest to ban you from this board.
Okee I understand I'm sorry for this misunderstanding but I don't want anybody to climb over the fence of somebodies propertie. I only sad what kind of possibilities there are.
But I will keep it in mind.
Again my apologies.
Although I fail to see the "misunderstanding" in this the apologies are accepted. If anyone else thinks about 'only saying what possibilities there are but not wanting anyone to actually do what is described'... think twice!
Twisteden is near Niederrhein (former RAF-base Laarbruch). The aircraft are at the "theme-park" Irrland (http://www.irrland.de" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). A route desciption can be found at the website.
The park is closed in the winter and I don't know if the aircraft stay outside untill the next summer season.
Bright Star Aviation wrote:Jorg, where can I find the aircraft in Twisteden? And is it near Laarbruch?
Greatings,
Martijn
Yes it is!!! About 5 km's south of Laarbruch! As you exit the maingate and follow the ''bundesstrasse'' to the south for about 5 km. You will pass ''Irrland''. I can't tell you the excact location of the aircraft though, I have never been there myself.

Uhm, to prevent any misunderstandings, F-104G KG-101 c/n 8001 at Laarbruch / Niederrhein is not owned by Piet Smedt / PSAero and was never part of his collection. It was bought by the current owner directly from the Luftwaffe.
What's the status of F-84F P-263 nowadays? Just over a year ago it was disassembled.
