Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Operational military Dakota's

Post by mwpeters »

After looking trhoug my pictures I got the idea to open a topic called "Operational military Dakota's". Since I am only 24 I haven't seen much, but with some luck in 2005 I saw some Greece ones. Do you also have pictures of mil Daks, please share them.

Dakota pictures

Post by Kees van der Velden »

Great pictures of a superb aircraft. My only objection is to the very heavy black cadres you used, they do your otherwise excellent shots no credit. But that's a personel opinion ofcourse.
I'm curious to the results of this topic!

Dakota pictures

Post by Kees van der Velden »

A very doubtful contribution on my part, I know! It cannot be compared with modern digital imagery but it's operational! A Danish Dakota landing at Ramstein in early April 1982. Captured on dubious colorfilm (probably Photoquelle or something) But anyway, for what it's worth:

Dakota's

Post by Kees van der Velden »

I've found some more recent Dakota's, although I'm not sure they fit in this topic. They are flying and operational but not with (with the exception of the BBMF example) an air arm.
Just delete this reply if it's not what you mean!

It's not flying, nor is it a Dakota, but the Communist countries stole quite a few good and proven designs in the old days. So here's a Chinese sample. Feel free to delete, but just nice to see some pics of Daks :D
